FORKLIFT DRIVING SAFETY AND OPERATION

Purpose: This course is designed to provide participants with the sound understanding and knowledge required to enable them to operate a fork lift truck safely.

Pre-requisite: There are no pre requisites for this course. However, previous experience in operating forklifts will be beneficial.

Course content:

• Legislation in the work place
• Plan work – lift, stability attachments, procedures, workplace hazards, and priorities
• Lift truck operations – pre-operation checks, data plate interpretation, operating procedures, shift loads
• Practical training – operate industrial lift – truck after conducting pre-operation checks, shift various loads, and perform self stacking at different heights and load/unload truck, shut down/post operational checks, parking.

Certification: Barron International will issue Certificate of Training in Forklift Driving Safety and Operation for successful participants.

Method of Training: Training will be carried out in accordance with the code of practice for forklift operation, performance and written assessments.

Maximum participants: 8 persons.
